TC problems

i have TC on my rupp
so when i got it i orderd a new belt (it didnt have one) and put it on there
started riding it and the notches on the belt started flying off in every direction (including in my direction)
does anybody know what was rong?

theres only a few belts

would about 3/8" misalighned pulleys be bad?

They have to line up pretty good,(if you can SEE that they're mis-aligned, then it needs attention) and if it's like some Comet Torque Converters, the belt has to spin a certain way. I just won a Rupp Driven unit on Ebay, but I don't have it yet. Otherwise I'd be more help.
Do you mind me asking what size the belt is?

i think its like a 27" belt but what i did to get my belt was type in "rupp belt" on ebay and i got a BRAND NEW one from this guy

With the belt on there does it look misaligned? It will look funny but really may be lined up.

it looks about 1/2" off

you need to get it aligned, would a chain work if it were lined up 1/2inch off? no it would wear and fall off.

If it isnt aligned yea, find your problem and align it. Cant believe you tried runnig it liek that.

Ok. There is a bushing you slide on the crank FIRST then your back sheive which would keep things in line.

ok well if your looking at the setup from the front the driven pulley is pushed back too far
if i were to lengthn the buching it would alighn?
