and on their site, they still use the "Comet" brand name & terms all over their gtc listings. that's gotta be some sort of trade violation.

i am really not liking these guys, regardless of the product or its quality.

besides all this, gtc's tc price is $189 to $224 with a full backplate, $30 more for a cover...plus shipping. a real Comet TAV2 (full backplate, cover included) is only $179 or $189 + shipping from an authorized dealer, so it's just a matter of getting the word out.

Can you please show me a Comet Branded kit for that price range? I havn't looked up a new kit yet for our price but the last we sold them when they were in business it ranged from 189-219 for a kit.

Have you ordered one from them yet or contacted them to see that it really is a Comet clutch? Thats frighteningly cheap.

i've confirmed this info from both ends...look at MFG's background, they've been next door to CPC (in Wisconsin) since the 60's, plus look at their other items...everything's OEM no knock-offs.

i contacted diane at cpc about their 2 stroke analog tachs.
she replied quickly with a complete scanned set of instructions.
excellent customer service, wish them the best.

gtc using comet's name is only a legal violation if comet TM'd their nomenclature....and even then, good luck enforcing TM laws in commie china, where piracy is a way of life.
side note: hot go kart parts (china) is blatantly using comet's name even in their email return address.

This GTC thing is a joke, they are obviously lying. I wouldn't buy anything from them because I don't support liars. I don't see why anyone would buy from them because you can get a genuine comet now.
