anyone, make one for a 4 cycle motor??????

4-cycle? Yes! The one in my truck!

Unfortunately, analog tachs for 1,2, or 3 cylinder engines are pretty hard to come by. IIRC, on the home page of this website, there is a link to a how-to on converting an aftermarket automotive tach for single cylinder duty.

Taco Bell? :roflol:

Here's my tacometer.

The less time it shows before my first bathroom run, the more tacos I ate.

Here is the tach mentioned above. It comes with an inductive pick-up that you clamp on the spark plug wire. I tested it out on a HF 6.5 HP engine. My local oreily's had it in stock.

This is your best bet. I too did not want a digital reading and this is the cheapest analog tach I could find.

If you wanted to spend the time, with some resistors or a pot, you can re-tune the car analog tach to work with a single cylinder... but you would need something to compare it too... like a tiny tach or something that was a known good tach so you could dial in the resistors, or the pot (which would be easier in my opinion)
