T-man, You should buy one of these for the rear of the kart. They are only $20 with free shipping. They even have the seat back rest like you wanted. They come in lots of colors. As cheap as they are it would be easy for most builders to buy one. They have been for sale on ebay for years. You can mod a simple car or truck mud flap on the back for a simple fender. You could also put the gas tank inside the trunk if you really wanted to hide it.

Here some pics. One on a scooter so you can see how big they are. They have some nicer ones on the $30 range.

I know you do not have the funds but a mini keg gas tank would look very nice in the spot in front of the motor. You need something in that space. How about a Goat Skull with the horns sticking out each side?

I cannot change your mind about paneling the sides with an air scoops? And then just perhaps some fake zoomies coming out the side? LOL

What I meant to say was that I think it would be a better design if the gas tank was behind the driver. I put engine instead of gas-tank by accident. lol

I think the tank on the back would not look good. Also much safer inside the frame rails. He has massive room up front. Then a tanks riding on top of the back wheel?????

why not just pressurize all the gas inside a little tank? LOL just kidding.

put the tank in your backpack and run a hose from it to a quick release, to the engine. just kidding again.

what if you modified the stock tank to fit the steering shaft? like cut off the part where the steering goes over it?

T-man I do not like the seat cover and seat. Not trying to be a jerk but just saying. IMO it is way to big. It is easy to cut that down or make one to fit the seat rails. It also looks flimsy. There is also little padding.

I would make a two part seat with black vinyle. One that fits the seat and one that fits the back seat rest bar. You can also make another one going up the frame rail to proctect your nut sack. Or make one peace long banana like seat to drop on the frame. Adding padding/seat in front of your nut sack would be a cool and safe way to fill in that spot. Also you going to need thick padding for your butt. 3 peaces of ply wood some staples and that vinyle you have. It would be easy to make. You can also paint that vinyle black if you do not like that brown.

I just bought some marine vinyle for $6 a yard at the frabric store. We made this head rest for $6.

You ask for opinions right? LOL If you want me to shut up just say so.

Everything I really like but you seat choice. I think a 3 peace seat fit to the rails would look sweet man.
