Stretched Big Block Streaker

A couple years ago I posted some pics of this build in it's initial configuration. I have since done a lot of mods in the engine area, so thought I would post some newer (and a few old) pics to show what it loos like now. And, I am getting ready to do some major mods to the engine and induction system... If these work out, I will be posting more pics over the next several months.

Thanks. Nimble, runs straight, 52mph with 260lbs of me on it, with current gearing.You should see some dramatic changes in the power section soon. If it all works out.

Looks Great, those frames are very strong to begin with.
How about some action shots like; burn-outs, wheelies, jumps or even a good drift!

I'm glad I am not the only one that think these need more gear. Nice jack shaft build.

I like the tires--never seen the tread pattern before in that tire style (tall, narrow). They look like a good all-season tire.

Anyone know what brand they are?

Those tires/wheels are from Northern Tools. ETA: I have another set of fronts from NT that are only 2/3 the width of the ones pictured, but I like the way the wider set feels.

Anyone played around with blowers at all? I've had other things come up recently that took away my momentum... Hopefully I can get back to it soon.

I plan to use an S&S Super B carb with this, and build a large plenum between the blower and the engine. These are from the Japanese market, they came off Subarus, etc.. Check it out, quarter on case for size ref:

Messed with a few blowers, mostly turbos and nitrous. That's an AMR? Get your pulley speed right to set the boost, and pull timing. I like to start at pulling 1.5 degrees per pound of boost and increase it 1 degree at a time until it stops picking up mph (drag cars on drag strips) you probably need a dyno to really nail it down, but 1.5 degrees per pound is usually a safe place to start on cars and bikes.

Where do you think you want to put the pulley that drives the blower?

If driven off a shaft after the Torque Converter (like TC jackshaft or axle) the boost will be lower when in low gear and higher when it upshifts. I was afraid that might cause issues, but have no experience. It might work out better that way???

Yeah... Aisin/AMR500.

What CR do you shoot for typically? This engine is 8.2:1 now, but I will be putting in a stronger piston than stock, which is supposed to yield somewhere in the 9:1 range... I figure I'll probably have to mill the top of the piston a bit, or open up the comb. chamber to drop it down to 7.5:1 or so.

The blower will not be driven from the TC. It will be driven off of the right side of the engine.

The AMR 500 will be too big! Moves 500 cc's of air per revolution. You need the 300, it will be more efficient.

It will not be too big. The stock engine is 420cc, and the output is adjustable via pulleys.

The 500 is always cheaper on ebay too. The 300 must be more rare?
