stoke vs cycle argument

hey guys we've all seen engines that say 4 cycle or 2cycle, but shouldn't it be 4 stroke or 2 stroke because one cycle is like intake compression ignition power exaust right? what do you think it should be stroke or cycle?

And I suppose that since "motors" are electric powered and "engines" are internal combustion - you probably believe a gas powered 2 wheeled bike should be called an "engine-cycle"

Either way is fine. Stroke just sounds better than cycle, but cycle sounds more "professional".
