Wow, that is some big machinery!
This is the third biggest Boring Mill in the shop; #2 is mothballed because of mechanical issues that I haven't been filled in on yet; #1 is machining the base/ main frame that this part will be mounted to and slide on, that frame is `bout 9 1/2 ft tall and over 20 ft long and fit's comfortably even with the 8 ft dia. rotary sub table mounted on one end.
I could go on, but that would be a real bad case of thread hijacking. I did make a point to take some photo's of some of the welded parts that have been assembled in the 3 weeks since I started (brand new job; Hopefully [
] I can make it work). That brings up the next question; do I post them here, potentially hijacking this thread? Or do I (we) start a new thread?I've been getting the hang of chiming in where I (hopefully) can help; trying to ride herd on a thread?
