Hey guys.
I have worn out sprockets way before their time.
I'm on my second motor sprocket and about to get a new
axle sprocket.
Please see the picture I have attached, note the shark toothing
of the teeth.
This is an electric gokart so I have loads of torque. That may be part of the problem. My sprockets are 16 and 48 teeth.
The sprockets are steel purchased at Mcmaster Carr.
See the 48 tooth sprocket at,
http://www.mcmaster.com/#sprockets/=42lezj
I see most gokarts sprockets for sale are aluminum. Although I haven't looked at most
. Seems like aluminum would do worse than steel.
I want to get some sprockets that won't look like my picture
after a couple of weeks.
Any thoughts?
Mike
