Spider carts recluse, my first build (fixed the pictures!!)

I'm new to the forums, I just joined today and I wanted to share the cart I'm building for my little brothers 7th birthday on wendsday. The cart is in peices right now being painted but il update the thread with completed pics when she's back together. motor in the cart is a 7hp/208 cc clone with a 6.75:1 gear ratio. I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts and opinions on this cart and aswell would like to see other recluse carts if you have built them. Anyways here's the pics. Cheers, goose

Welcome.
I looked at a couple of your pics looks pretty good. However I (and most other users) are impatient and lazy, so you will get better response if you post the pics using the diy site rather than links to photo bucket.
I think it is way cool you are building this for you little brother.

very nicely done, I love the fab up from scratch, why did you use a jackshaft though? looks like you could've gone directly from CC to axle...

That's a excellent question, I have two reasons for doing this. One my little bro is 7 and I wanted to slow it down a bit without having the clutch slip, and two we live in a hilly/ rocky area so having a smaller rear sprocket and more torque is defiantly a plus around here.

That was the one thing that caught my eye immediately....man that thing looks short....

But you did some really excellent work and built a really nice kart there.

Welcome to the forum...and please fill out a profile location so we know where you're from.

3 questions for you.

1. Did you scale down this for your brother size or is the the spiderkart plans full size.
2. On post #7 there a pic of your steering wheel. There a white plastic fitting you used that the rod goes into. Did you purchase this or make it?
3. The jackshaft, do you have more info on this?

The recluse is a small kart. I do not think he changed the plans at all
