well wise guy.. this was not my first post. I posted a thread last week or so asking about a motor I have.. and also in some other thread.
I logged in the other day and noticed and reported 2 or 3 spam threads about shoes and purses..
Considering you have 2 posts, and have 2 posts in this thread. That would indicate it was your first post?

Oh well, hope you stick around, and welcome to the forum! It just seemed odd if that was your first post, after all you don't usually just sign up to a forum to talk about spam!
The spam level is rediculous. I notice all our (active) mods are in the US of A (I think). Would it be useful to have moderators in different time zones?

Yes. A money only pyramid is illegal, you know, "You give me $20 and then get three friends to give me $20 each, and I'll give you back $10 for each of theirs so you make $10." It works great for the guy at the top and some people in the middle, but eventually you run out of people.
They make them leagl by using the pyramid structure to support a supposedly legitimate business. This is comminly called Multi-Level Marketing(MLM). You can make money selling products like Amway, Scentsy, Tupperware, Magic Chef, but you supposedly can get yachts and Lamborgini's and become a Black Diamond or something if you get a WHOLE bunch of people to join under you.
A Ponzi is where you use a pyramid to get money, but decieve investors by making it look like the profits are actually coming from the fascade business.
In the case of my friend...I think his company is doing both. They have underground people stealing identities to "buying" an S load of product to make the business end look good AND defrauding people with the Pozi aspect.
He invested $20,000 off a credit card check. Poor sad sap...MAny,many of us tried to warn him

They were a tree planting company And did well at making it legal
U invest and technically own an area of trees
But they planted trees on any land and only survived as the company grew
During the GFC they ran out of investors and collapsed in a few Weeks

A tree planting pyramid...THAT'S GENIUS! I'll bet they had a whole carbon trading angle that really worked the "green" angle.
