Our 27 year old son and his wife are pregnant with twins, their first children, a boy and a girl. We also have grand nephews who are 2 and 4. Sooo I decided to pull the trigger on something this big kid has been wanting for some time, a go kart!

Naturally, since I was shopping for one, I ended up with two, one i don't know the name of but looks like a hammerhead type, shocks, etc. The second is a Kandi 150GKA-2.

Both of these karts need some repair and fabrication and I want to build some smaller karts for the kids to drive themselves later. I'm looking forward to learning to weld and work on these small engines. So I imagine I'll be a frequent visitor to this forum.

Welcome and congrats on the twins! I have twin sisters who are twins...3 years younger than me.

I remember telling people when I was young about them...they asked if I liked having twin sisters. I said yes, I'll play with whoever is crying!

But really, congrats on the twins.

I figured out one is a Manco, but I don't know what model. I'm not sure how important that is since there are a lot of new parts on there. The other is a Kandi 150cc GKA-2. Turns out there is a dealer 45 minutes from my work, so that's a bonus. I like that the roll bars on that model are in the middle. Makes it easier to get in and out of (I'm 6'5"). I hear they are heavy and therefore slow, so that's a bit of a bummer. But I'm sure it will be a blast when I get it fixed up.
