Yeah....that's not cool....and it's not like those :censored:'s aren't a gang of two....and. their owners would be the first to say...."Aw...man...they. wouldn't hurt anyone..."

I lost a cat to just such a pair....I didn't see it....but the forensics told me it was 2 big dogs working in concert.....

About a month later.....I got to see them in action....they. worked like a well oiled machine....and. this lucky cat barely escaped.....

So....the dogs that attacked you....

They need to be destroyed....they will do it again....and next time....it might be a toddler.....

There is a lady that walks her dogs in that field everyday around 6:30pm..... I will be out there, with my "toy", just in case. I am going to warn her too, because she walks down to where I know the dogs went to. The dogs will be taken care of one way or the other. If animal control doesn't do something today, I will..... I don't worry about paperwork or bureaucracy....... :2guns::2guns: first, ask questions later.......
The dogs are strays that live behind a church, in a field. If they had owners, trust me, I would have been beating down their door.....

OMG!!!! That's insane! !!!! Wild dogs are the most dangerous city animals as far as bodily injury goes.....

Yeah....I would be putting out food for them....

Once my neighbor called the cops and told them a dog tried to bite his little girl....there was a big open wild area this dog went into...the cops surrounded it...and before long....I heard shots and they were dragging out a dead dog....as well they should have.....

The only bad side to this story is that my neighbor lied....but....hey...keep your mutts on a leash.....you never know what kind of havoc they might reek!!!!

Just to be clear, I've already bought a replacement car, just waiting for the bank to open on Tuesday morning (public holiday Monday  :toetap05:)

FYI: I was a Rolls-Royce apprentice mechainic before you were born but, thanks for the tips ;) :cheers2:
Haha, nice! What did you get?

Jim:HOLY S/-/!+!!!!!! Glad your okay buddy! The dog was coming after you for not working on your kart:lolgoku:. No seriously, take care of those dogs. Not cool. Post pics of your little pup!
By the way... I'm a total dog lover... BUT TAKE CARE OF THOSE DOGS!!
So they didnt bite through your skin? I would imagine a bad infection would be the result.

I thought about antifreeze soaked burgers, but, I don't think they should suffer. All I need is one clear shot. :2guns: or long enough to let go of 30-40 rounds..... :2guns::2guns::2guns::2guns:
One way or another, they won't be able to attack anyone else.......
Dog bites/attacks are some of the MOST GRUESOME calls I've been on. Dogs will literally rip your skin apart, pull the muscles from bones.... Ect.... They get extremely bad. That's the only reason I'm going on a hunt. I've seen kids after being mauled. I'm NOT letting that happen, not by these 2...... Not on my street, not in my hood......
EDIT Sam, I'm a HUGE dog lover. I have 2 now. Both strays I picked up. They make the best pets because they are truly grateful for what you give them. They are the most loyal. I've probably had almost as many dogs in my life as cars..... And that's a LONG list........ LoL

Hahah. I was born into my house with a beagle terrior mix... Rescue.
She was the sweetest dog on earth. When we got her my brother was 1 and i wasn't born. Me and my brothers are all 3 years apart... Im the middle one... So 11,14,17 now. Anyway, it was my older brother, so my dog was in the house for me and my younger brother being born. She was so crazy, that she would run around in a circle and up on top of the couch back defying gravity! She also ran away 3-5 times a week. She was the biggest stubborn hassle mulest (made up words) dog on earth. But she was also the sweetest. She actually picked up motherly traits for humans. My mom use to leave us on a blanket in the middle of the room with my dog there. My mom would leave us to let the dog out, but the second my mom left the baby in the room alone my dog would stay there right beside the baby. She wouldn't let us be alone. She also lived through years of abuse from babys. As a young kid i shoved my hands down her throat a few times, not knowing any better... She never bit me. My younger brother decided it was fun to try pulling on her hair as a 1-2 year old. He would stand there and pull on her hair, and the poor dog would sit there softly crying, but not moving. In preschool, one of my friends tried to ride her like a horse. She had such weak legs she fell down crying, but didn't even growl. Sweetest dog on earth. She died 2/5/13. I'll never forget her. She actually was 15, which is really good considering she was a medium sized dog. When she was 12 we got a second dog. Lhasa apso/ shih tzu mix. He's 20 pounds, the biggest lap dog in the world to my mom and thats it. Total fake dog. No nose and no tail. The two dogs got along great, and really were a great pair. Supposedly he got the first dog so happy and active that he added a couple years on the first dogs life. We're thinking about getting another rescue, but for now thats it.

I added a really awful pic of the two of them after a bath.

Yeah....Jim.....I meant feed them as in deer corn......so they come to you.....I wouldn't poison because you can't control what eats it.....

Triggers....on the other hand......are extremely selective......

Too bad Tom isn't closer....by now he has more than enough broadheads sharpened and silent but deadly is always best.....

You did get a police report.....right????? If not....don't even think about it.....

Call the cops and give them a description and say they went after your kid and that's how your clothes got torn.....

Otherwise.....you must be very sneaky about this.......

Up here in Michigan, any farmers that raise livestock are practitioners of the three S rule. Shoot, Shovel, and Shut Up. Most of the hunter's I know treat free running pack's the same way.

Michigan has a leash law; people who think that just because they just moved out of the city that it doesn't apply to them any more and that they can let their dog's run loose are dead wrong.

Ummmmm....don't you mean their dogs are??????

And....just to be clear....I am an animal lover.....( if you guys know any women who are animals.....send them my way....)....:backtotopic:

Yeah....God didn't make bad food..just bad chefs.....

We ought to euthanize bad animal owners......

But.....as much as I love dogs....sometimes it's necessary to eliminate them.....

Fair point... We dont want ya gettin arrested!!! We'll never hear your kart start:lolgoku:!

Sam, I was sitting in my garage with the "toy" when the cops finally showed up. He came to the door, then saw the gun..... He jumped back and said "holy shish!" i didn't even see that! " By that time, it was unloaded, clips on the table and the breach was in the locked open position. It's a ruger 10/22 with a ton of mods, that can't me mentioned in detail. :stir:
I told him I had intent to put the dogs down. I filed a report. I'm in the "country" still, so shooting the rifle is still legal. If I get the dogs, it will be on video, for evidence purposes only, and turned over to the police and my lawyer...... Yes I got a lawyer on retainer. You never know when "spit" is gonna happen...

Oh my... that doesn't read too nice Jim,

We pretty much banned so called "fighting dogs" because some 'accidents' and mainly because drug dealers and pimps used to have them and treated them badly...

Anyways, a pit bull once came after me, and although my escape was a few feet and an open door away (or the slamming of said door to be precise ;))
it was quite scary to say the least...

Now, while the discussion about banning dogs was going on, there were some ...
.... uhm.... .... catlovers *shrugs* that voted to ban basically all dogs even guard dogs (shepards, rottweiler etc.) and mid sized dogs (australian shepard, labradors, dalmatians etc) ... and only allow for what we call "*censored* licker" or "feet horns" (****zu, chihuahua etc.).

And it was all over the media at that time.. and then I saw something extremely impressive...
There was a young woman, pet physiotherapist IIRC, that claimed to be able to calm EVERY dog that was not command to attack but attacked on it's own.

And she was led into a compound (animal shelter) with a muzzled Rottweiler (previously owned by a pimp) roughly 60kg of what seems to be pure bones and muscle tissue and although muzzled he was really scary, weighing more than said woman, he raced forward to kill her one way or another.

And all she did was going down on her knees...
I really thought that raging bull of a dog would simply knock her unconscious with his massive forehead and call it a day..
but he stopped a few inches from her face, hit her with his forelegs a few times and then turned around and left.

That in itself was amzing, they claimed she never met that dog before, and NONE but was allowed to come anywhere near that compound not to mention the dog himself,
since the police brought that dog in a few days earlier (sedated)

she sat there for roughly an hour, when he approaches her again, calmly.. curiously perhaps... and after a few times back and forth he allowed her to pet him,
then she left.
A day later she returned and, well she wasn't really welcome at first, but he wasn't as scary as on the previous day, so she sat down again and waited for him to come.
two or maybe three hours later (of back and forth inspections like the day before) he was laying next to her and she removed his muzzle...
petting him, massaging his legs and spine, he turned into a puppy!
Well to HER that is ;)

It was pretty amazing to see a "shoot that monster NOW!" turn into "ohhhh look at this cutie pie" within two days of -can we say-treatment-?,
what I wanted to say is.. it's NEVER the dog.. it's ALWAYS the owner!!

So yeah, while I understand that the first intention is to end their lives in order to keep yourself and your kids (or neighbors for that matter) unharmed;
maybe the two still have a chance to... socialize... as soon as they're taken from the current owner.
It's 100% his fault.

So, I do not say shoot the owner, but consequently, that'd be the better option if you'd ask me ;)

Yeah... Apparently dogs can read your energy. If you run away that gives them confidence and power.
Jim i think you shoul go in there with your bare hands and get in a fist fight with them until you got them muzzled. :lolgoku: No, but maybe a gun that temporarily puts them to sleep? I don't vote for killing them, i vote for doing away with them by all means.

Oh okay, must have missed that!

stray dogs are a problem, since they might have been mistreated by SEVERAL different individuals, and thus are much harder to reach...

And NO, I wouldn't want my kids anywhere near those dogs of course, I wouldn't want to find MYSELF anywhere near those dogs to be honest...

The point is, I would like to know that someone at least tried to find a solution that keeps them alive.

Just last week I read in the newspaper about a bar owner that had his dogs gunned down for no other reason than they were playing on the street.
(A burglar broke into the bar and inadvertently released the dogs)
Some say they attacked ... but I highly doubt that.
Other than the police all eye witnesses say they just played with each other.
But they have been "banned" dogs.. american staffordshire to be precise..
And frankly I raged when I heard about that (lousy phone video is on youtube...)

yt video ID: X5No0VoW_Yc
(I don't want to embedd this...)

A stupid policeman eager to shoot his gun is all it takes ...

aaaanyways.. before I rage again...

wild dogs are huge problem over here

they have destroyed huge areas (were talking 1000s of millions of acres) of sheep grazing land in the dessert

although australia has always had dingos these dogs are off breeds or just strays of domestic dogs
theres a few differances
dingos are like medium dogs not Rottweiler or german shepard size
dingos only kill to eat (evolution of living in a landscape where food is scarce)
domestic dogs or the off breed of will just take down animals for the **** of it, for sport
dingos will not jump a fence or dig under

a normal ringlock fence (7 strandes of high tensile wire 3 ft high)
will stop most dingos unless theyre really keen
domestic dogs will jump 5 ft no worries
or just tunnel under the fence
dingos are also rather placid creatures and wont attack unnecessarily
evolution of the next meal may be days away, conserve energy, this human is too hard to take down as a meal

they run big baiting operations from airplanes and helicopters as well as ground crews to try to drop the numbers
the state government has also set aside 30 million to build a range of vernim fences though the state to stop the dog advance

farmers have always had a shoot to kill policy for dogs
u never try to investergate who it belongs to just take it down
we had someone try to report us for shooting their dog
even though it was taking down sheep when dad shot it

the cops told them to get over it its their own fault for leting it get out

but on the point of its not the dog its the owner
we have found its almost always the dog
out of the limited dog attacks on people in the city or towns the dog has been very happy well looked after then one day it just snaps and chomps a child
usually the child's fault for provoking it although they don't know better
so usually the owners lack of knowledge for a stop command

also we have had sheep dogs go loopy
they're all either boarder collie or kelpies
breeds that have been refined as sheep working dogs
they born into sheep work and trained well in the practice of sheep work
they know full well they can nip the sheep but it they ever draw blood or pull wool god help then they're in trouble
but knowing the consequences

we have had 5 over the years that bust out of the kennels and start taking down sheep
only one was retrained
and only because it was very talented very young and with another dog

to sum up
cats domesticated them selves
livestock still arnt domesticated
we just put a fence up so they cant get out

dogs we had to earn their trust
and the next generation only trusts us because their mother taught them too
if u break their trust then they're no different to the pack animals roaming the forests of neolithic times
wild dogs are bad
in a pack its a whole differant ball game

I went out last night to make sure that lady was safe, walking her dogs last night. She walks them about the same time everyday, 6:30-7...... So I pull in behind her and get out with my rifle. She is startled at first, but quickly recognized me and laughed. (I don't know this lady. But we see each other everyday, usually while I'm taking the kids for kart rides. ) Anyway, I tell her what happened to me the night before, and then the story gets better. She tells me she was attacked by 2 dogs Saturday night. A brown one and a black one (with white patches. I call it white with black.) she was in front of the church when the dogs "came out of no where" and started to bite at her. Her big dog kept them at bay long enough for her to grab a brick from the church marquee. She said she hit the black one, and they took off. She and her dogs ran for the car...... As we are talking, another lady who walks her tiny dog in the same place, stopped. Low and behold, she wanted to tell us to be careful. She was attacked by 2 dogs Friday night. Same dogs.......
We never saw the dogs last night. I stayed out till around 9:30-9:45, about the same time I was out the night before. Sitting there, I realized that, we ALL called the police to report the incident!! You would think that by the third call, they would do more than drive over and look for the dogs, from their car. This is the field I cut for mytrack. You guys have seen it. It's a big feild. How are you gonna see a brown dog from across that big field, at night..... With your flashlight? Didn't even turn on the Qbeam.....
I'll be out again tonight. There is no telling how many people have come across these dogs......
