Stolen form 4cycle

Read that thread quite a while back, IIRC he said the pump didn't like gasoline and (IIRC!) it failed later.

Me and my friend are taking on a new project that has something to do with this. We are building an E-85 powered draw-through carb'ed smog pump supercharged (man thats a mouthful) Tecumseh 3hp flattie (I bet you can tell we have plenty of 'em around here, huh? :p) It's actually a lot simpler than it sounds, but since you have to make the jets bigger for ethanol, and tune it rich to compensate for the condensation in the pump, It will drink ethanol like a mofo. Also, I was also thinking about using an air conditioner pump instead, because I heard you can build more boost than with a smog pump. (oh yeah, and the ethanol is an added bonus because it acts like a built in intercooler :D)

I'm hoping to achieve about 1 bar. of boost (that might be a bit optimistic though, and I'd be happy with 12 psi)

In a big jar of Nutella, nom nom nom
The only part I would be using from the vacuum cleaner would be the motor itself. Would be independently driven by a battery, with custom plumbing, to empty the combustion chamber of exhaust gasses quicker, and to force induction. So I'd probably run 2. No lag from exhaust mounted motor.

get another pulley and mount it to the crank. If it's a v-belt and not a serpentine type, it will be a ton easier to find a pulley.

Not one that fits a 3/4" shaft or whatever. You can just find an old tiller and snag the pulley off the crank. Voila! 3/4" pulley
