First off, good job on picking up the series 40 while they're still around and the 9hp will be a great engine on your dingo. I really think its cool that all three of you basically have the same kart though a few years apart in age. Its good to see kids having fun with all of this.
You mentioned you'd like to extend your kart 6 inches. Keep in mind that karting is a sport where we are meant to be riding the kart with legs bent because our knees are much stronger joints than our ankles, when truly needed you want to have that ability to stomp the gas or brake, its just not possible with just the ankle. We've extended 2 karts to the length you've mentioned for customers who after we did it realized that it was no longer comfortable to ride the kart in this fashion, 2 inches would be smart, at the most 4.
For your friend who has a half cage dingo, don't use a seat belt, unless you have a full cage a belt is not your friend, in case of accident you can too easily get pinned inside the kart and not able to escape, lets never forget that we are carrying over 1/2 a gallon of combustible liquid behind us when riding. If someone gets tipped and could very well catch on fire, do we really want to not be able to escape?
Keep those torque converters clean! I'd be interested to see if you guys have kits on one of the karts to disassemble and clean the assembly on occasion given the amount you ride, on series 40 this is not necessary but series 30 really does need it for proper operation.
