I was on to the fuel tank next, I made one and it wasnt good. It had a small leak, and I knew I couldnt have that so I scrapped that and went a new rout. I thought about it and I really wanted a spun aluminum tank, but theyre expensive now. 30 years ago they were cheap, not anymore. I came up with an idea, and I think its pretty sweet. Harborfreight sells a 5 gal steel air tank. I picked one up and fabbed a sump for the OEM pump and bought a fuel bung with cap. Removed all the air fittings and started cutting. All said and done the tank was 20 bucks the filler neck and cap was about the same. Now I have a tank that doesnt leak and look pretty nice too.
The first pic is the original tank I made (garbage)
