Following Pancho's lead yet again, my bike build with 3.6:1 (10-36) and 63-559 tires (26x2.5) will lug off from a red light like a big fat Harley, but tops out well above 55/60mph (too chicken to see when it stops climbing after that tbh) but it is a street only build.

I may be comparing apples to oranges with a bike vs kart comparison... but not really becausd Ive got a modded out Husqvarna 208cc turning a Comet 30.

The rules if gear ratios remains a constant regardless of the purpose or place of use.

Looks and sounds good von! Nice work. Put the other video up regarding the warped clutch and someone can advise you there.

No, that isn't right. Take the bolt back out and make sure any machined in keys or separate woodruff keys are seated properly. Some pulleys have the key machined into the sheave and some take a separate key. Something is definitely wonky there.

Also make sure the pulley is seated properly on the metal "slide" I guess you could call it, there are machined flat spots on the slide that match the flat spots on the pulley. Make sure you have them seated.

The advice mentioned by Karttekk on post #52 sure seem like it could be the answer. The machined flat spots on the end of the slider ( heavy cast part with four rounded corners ) are only on one end and are not very pronounced. Easy to miss them if you don't know that they are there. That end needs to be facing out and the out most part of the clutch, the bell sits onto it. Pretty neat work with your turn buckle idea, but it still seems too high geared on initial takeoff. It should shoot off the line. All in all Congratulations. Being in the kart having fun with the Grandkids is what it's all about.

I'll disassemble it in the morning and double check but i tried to pay attention to it going together but could have missed it, i bet with a 60 tooth axle gear it would blast off the line.

Only if it had a live axle. It would be fun then. You could slide it around without having to go fast!
Damn that's right he's got a one wheel wonder 🤔

Still probably be an impressive roostertail of thrown dirt and gravel... but if it hooked up good it might still lift and swing the nose hard left
