Hi all,
Well, a bit more done at the weekend and the frame is complete (ish) apart from mounting the steering rack and wheel, seat mounting, pedals and brake calliper.
This weekend we put in the second rear stiffening bar (I hate compound angles!!!) at least weld can be used to fill the miscalculations

.
At the front we have put two triangles for strength, a small one from the centre roll hoop and then off this to the front. There is no chassis flex now.
Hopefully this week I can get the rack mounted - probably in front rather than behind the front chassis member - so it won't get in the way of the pedals. As the cockpit area is tapering towards the front, does anyone have a genius method for fastening pedals so they are straight when pressed (if that makes any sense!!) rather than folowing the angle of the frame.
Not long till it gets pulled apart to be painted. The kids think red for the frame with an alloy sheet floor riveted in.
