It's a Suzuki S200, 5HP flat head, much the same as a Honda G200 really.

So I've done most of the steering, just got to weld it together now. I'm so sick of rusted parts......

I took the pedals of and drained about 2 litres of water out of the frame!

The pedals had worn through their nylon bushings and had a 3mm deep grove worn into them where they had been rubbing on the frame! I reckon it's had a fair bit of use!

The nuts that hold the wheels on are ridiculous, I've got a breaker bar with a 5 foot long piece of pipe slipped over it, I can stand on the pipe and the fecking nut wont budge, it's been soaking in ATF for about a week too! I should be able to crack it with a longer bit of pipe. Hopefully.....

The cows stood on the piece of sheet metal I was going to use as a floor and munted it! Stupid cows. :/ I think I can straiten it out though.

There's a big storm coming, possibly a cyclone so I have to pack everything into the shed, I hope that cyclone doesn't hit us...

With a little bit of luck, the cyclone will break the nuts loose for you. Attach a sail to the breaker bar....

Well I cracked that nut, I can still barely move it though!

Cam, I hope it all goes well at your end, no damage from the storm I hope!

I don't have the luxury of an enclosed shed, got dirt floors too.

So I cleaned the shed up an in the process lined all my engines and go karts up. I'm kinda surprised how much I have!

There's 4 kart frames and a Mini quad frame in there! There's still "The Chuggy" and another frame too!

Here's some of my engines, I've got 3 more Victas in bits on the bench, 2 more on mowers, the Robin DY27 (265cc diesel), a few chain saw and whipper snipper engines and another Honda too!

From left to right....

Top row: 4HP Briggs mower engine (converted to horizontal shaft), 1940s 98cc J.A.P 2S (side valve with rockers!), 160cc Victa full crank, 1980s Victa Power Torque, "extra power" 160cc Victa full crank, Briggs mower engine, Honda G200.

Bottom row: 160cc Victa full crank, 125cc Victa, 2000s Victa Power Torque, McCulloch chain saw engine (got 2 of these), Suzuki S200 (getting another one off a friend to use for parts soon!).

The best bit, I've gotten all but 3 of my engines from scrap metal places for free, the other 3 were given to me by friends. I have never bought an engine. Better value than a Clone hay?

i cant wait for this cyclone.
im in perth for a holiday and the surf has been crap,
at least the swell will be good.

where is northcliffe aint u too far inland to worry.

Haha the surf might be a little better than "good"! Lol

We're half an hour from the coast and about as far south as you can get so it should be too bad, heaps of people are still freaking out though.

Cyclone ruined a few roads, just moved lots of stuff around mainly, no damage here but have friends that have.

she was up and gone by the morning which was sweet.

we get hurricanes! and our snow storms often come with 50mph wind gusts! snow here is really heavy! pain to shovel, and often clogs the snow blower, but on the other hand a few inches stops the school in its tracks!

So the cylcone never really came, pulled the kart out of the shed the other day and got all the wheel nuts off, need a puller to get the wheels off now though.

I've got a Suzuki LJ81 that I'm restoring so don't expect much in the way of progress on this. Here it is as it sits now.

hey sideways what did you do to fix the steering? on my kart the wheels turn freely and the tierods move but the steering rod is stuck. i was thinking of grinding off the bottom bearing thingy that holds it up but im not sure what do you recommend.
