hey guys im really sorry it took so long, but i had school and did not have time to update... anyways its all finished except the break needs to be remounted. The speakers on the seat work great and there is an ipod holder in the back with an input for them. I took apart the speakers and mounted them to the seat that i made from an office chair! It runs great and was clocked at 42 mph by gps. I had to modify the subframe a little in order to fit a bigger wheel then the plans called for but it all worked out great. This summer i will fix the steering using the ackerman theory but i just dont have the time right now. This was my first project ever and if i did it again im sure you all know from experience that it would always be better the second time, but hey it was a great learning experience! What do you guys think?

You need a floor! If you drop your feet, they could get really messed up. I do like the low look of it though. Have you ever bottomed out?

Get some expanded steel. It's light weight (for the area it covers) but makes a great floor. Just cut to size and tack each end to the kart.

I'll second that. Looks terrific, nice job- but unless you want to get taken off at the ankles get some floorage. Even if you just screw some 18ga in there for now... Please!

looks like it turned out pretty nice,

EDIT: lowes would likely have some sheet metal, but the prices will likely be pretty bad, try to see if you can get steel from a scrap yard, or a steel yard, or some old piece of furniture.

Any metal yard would most definitely have it. They might even have a scrap that you could buy cheaper than list price.
