are you using the plans? i made one, i can't recall all the problems i ran into, but if i remember any others i will tell you. the one thing i can tell you is to apply the Ackerman principle!!!! my scorpion would jump all over the road, and during testing, well lets say it din't turn out so hot, but i fixed it! (amazes me how a 13 yr old can fix it, but the company making the $ can't!? i'm not sure if spider carts new management has fixed the problems yet.)

you are luck to have all those part so early into the build!

In a nutshell- You need to be able to draw a straight imaginary line from the kingpin bolt to dead centre of the rear axle. The outer tie rod end needs to attach to the steering arm on this line.

im sort of confused. they are adjustable tie rods so cant i just hook them up then adjust them (with the steering wheel straight) so the wheels are straight??

No, this usually requires modifying the spindles. I think slotting the flat part and bending the vertical until the tie rod hole is the best way. From here, the gap can be closed up with a piece of scrap and a welder.

Got some done on the frame today. Sorry it took so long but its just been so cold out i didn't get a chance to weld. I put some lincoln wire in and is 10 times better than the stuff that comes with the HF welder! Tell me what you think, more pics maybe later today!

Thanks I finished it today and it ran great! I dont have enough straight away to get my top speed but at like 3/4 throttle i go around 40 so i am very happy! However when i was riding it i did not put supports on the bearings so one of them ripped off but luckily no damage was done. Please take this advice with your full attention: The pics you see above is as far as you want to get until you get all your parts! if you build the whole frame according to the plans you will end up grinding off most of your sub frame. If you are buying your parts exactly as the plans say then you dont have to do this. Once you get all your parts, put them on, then build the rest of your frame accordingly. different shocks, engine, wheel, etc. Please do this it will save you so much time in the long run!

well its time... already. I am happy with the speed and it runs great but can you ever be done? i will be tearing off the back end and making it a ock. Re-do the steering, new front wheels, chain tensioner, and maybe some engine mods. Heres some pics of it in its current state.
