Aaaa just get a sled motor... ;)

You could probably just use a regular throttle cable if ya ditched the oil injection and ran premix...
it uses CCI (crankcase oil injection) so if i disabled it, it wouldnt get enough bottom end oil. I made up a cable earlier, its funky but it should work.

Theres 2 hoses off the injector that go to the crankcase, i believe one is aimed at the big end rod bearing and the other at one crank bearing, not positive on the second hose though.

Haha bad time to seize...

I went to change the gearbox oil, took the plug off to drain out the old stuff, and guess what came out? water...not much but enough to worry about. I took the sidecover off, managed to break the gasket but only in one place. The idler, crank, and clutch gears dont seem to rusted, but the clutch is stuck. The bottom end seems fine, luckily its a 2 stroke so the crankcase and gearbox isnt connected.

EDIT:

Alright, i got the clutch apart, unstuck it, but it still isnt working so i guess i gotta take the other side off and see whats happening with the actuator thing over there. I managed to lose one of the little bars that holds the spring in place already, hopefully i can find a replacement tomorrow.

The crank spins freely, but the bearings sound worn out, hopefully its just dry and needs some oil.

So apparently the clutch push rod is broken, and the half that broke off is no where to be found...the arm that actuates the rod is also very worn out.

Oil injector pump, doesnt work (figured it out before i actually started the engine luckily)

My throttle cable rig isnt gonna work.

Clutch actuator arm and gear are shot....

Looks like its waiting time, need to order all these stupid parts before i can make any more progress.

Well, theres so much to replace, and the crank bearings are on the way out anyways, so i think im just going to run it on pre-mix, probably get another half a year or so out of it before they really go bad. I just really dont feel like spending $50 on a bike thats gonna die soon anyways.

What do you guys think, pre-mix and beat the **** out of it then either rebuild or sell it cheap.

or get the injector pump, throttle cable, and beat the **** out of it for a little bit longer, than i would have if i ran it on pre mix.

i was thinking the same a few minutes ago ( i change ideas a lot), but when i went to search for the new screw gear thingy for the clutch, i couldnt find one anywhere at all...Thats going to determine whether or not i buy the pump and throttle cable.

Looks like i found a buyer for nearly all the engine parts from the bike, i found a whole site dedicated to these bikes, and the owner of the site wants it for parts. I know its stupid to just give up, but i couldnt find the right part anywhere and the more i messed with the engine the more problems i found. Hopefully i can get $100 or so from the engine parts, then i can do something else with the frame, maybe sell parts from that too.

Well i couldnt sell it on CL, so its been sitting outside for a while now. Today i was really bored so i said **** it and made up some pre-mix (wayy to rich, like 16:1 lol), set up a throttle cable to the carb, and guess what? it started right up! it idles fine, but is running rich and bogs at 1/2 throttle, this thing is actually pretty powerful, with no clutch i shoved it into first at about 1/4 throttle and the front end went right up! still no seat, killswitch, clutch or handlebar grips, but im pretty impressed. The chain also falls off a lot, and i cant get it past 10mph but hey, who cares? i'll lean it out a little and maybe get a pillow and some ductape for the seat.

...why did I do that?

I had a TS125, and my friend had a TS185. I think that the second spark plug hole was for a compression release. It was popular back then to use a compression release as an engine break. I may not be remembering correctly, but might be worth looking into. I also recall my 125 being a 6v electrical system (not 12v), it had points, no cdi. I do not remember what the 185 had.
