That first pic is your oil cooler.

Most oil coolers only have 2 lines and work just like a little radiator to cool with air flow, but yours is diferent.

Your oil cooler has 2 extra connections (that flow antifreeze from your engines radiator/cooling system) and it works by exchanging the oils heat to your antifreeze.

You might be able to figure out where those 2 coolant lines originally connected somewhere in these pics: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&...=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1259&bih=772

Or somewhere in this search link:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...10&um=1&biw=1259&bih=772&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=iw

When I get the time I'll try to do some more research too.

I've searched for quite awhile and haven't been able to find any pics or diagrams showing where your oil coolers water lines hook up at the engine.

I did find several posts on this forum: http://cbrworld.net/forums/default.aspx stating its fairly common for your model oil cooler to develop internal leaks which allows the antifreeze and engine oil to mix. Not a good thing, seems like those guys recommend installing a conventional type oil cooler without any water lines.

I think you should post another thread over on that CBRworld forum asking for help on your kart project. They seem pretty knowledgeable/helpfull and I got a feeling your gonna run across a few other issues they could help you out with...

Charged a battery and made sure the starter works. It does. Also mounted the gear shifter on the little cart so you can shift through all the gears with your foot like on the real bike.

YAY!!!! I was able to pick up the rest of the bike yesterday and got most of the wiring harness. Still don't know exactly whats there and whats not. Also got the radiator. It leaks a little bit (how big of a problem is that?) and looks like someone stepped on it or something. Does any one know what the black can looking thing is?

That black can is your evaporative canister, Its a charcoal filter for your gas tank vent. The EPA just required it to meet smog regulations. You dont need to use it but check out this link for info and instructions: http://www.peterverdonedesigns.com/600RRpairsmog.htm

Where's your radiator leaking? It might cause big problems.

The CBR600 radiators all came with a big bend just so they'd fit the bike better, check out these google images: http://www.google.com/images?rlz=1T...&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1007&bih=618

If you where going to use this motor on anything heavier/larger than the bike it came of, I would reccomend using a larger radiator. Such as one of these.

Thats what i'm using for my GPZ750 in a piranha. More efficient cooling.

Jeremy.

I think it was also called the FL or the F1
