I have another question.
Will this Brake band actually work to stop the Kart with it on the clutch bell?

I guess in theory it would work. But too much heat would be generated and negatively effect the clutch's life span.

Particulary on this build due to the High Gear ration being possibly attempted.

It will work, but if you throw a chain or the chain breaks.....then you have no brakes

Can you mount a jack shaft directly above the axle?

I am going to try the new setup first before I try and put a jackshaft on.

That is where I got my inspiration!! LOL. I went with a predator because I had a spare one laying around so I wanted to use it for something.

Yes, if there is a failure I will have no brakes. I am not to worried, when people see a granny scooter going faster than it should they will move out of the way. LOL

People will move, Cars, walls and Trees will not. LOL
Please figure in some better brakes.
