ALRIGHT guys i feel like i have become hated on this forum for saying GOOGLE IS amazing when all i was trying to do was to be like r97's post were he says to use the serch button (funny) that was my intention just to be funny. i am sorry wasnt trying to be mean i will delete the post. and delete my signiture. wasnt trying to be a idiot

I get $13.50 an hour on my apprenticeship. Doing a 14 hour day tomorrow, that will net me just shy of $300. Thats doing something I love, so I defiantly cant complain, lol.

my school has final exams for the last 4 days of school. and those may determine if i pass the year or not.............

Well I work for a school district (Janitor 
) and the longer the kids stay in school, the better. Once school gets released, we have to clean the entire school, scrub/wax floors in 90 degree weather, for 10 hrs a day. But I got another month until that happens. Kids start school after labor day weekend and end 3rd week of June.

That's awesome. I would love to do something like that this summer, but I don't have the knowledge for it to be considered an "apprenticeship" so I'd either screw up or just not make as much as I am now.
Really!? At my school, our finals are only 10% of our overall grade for the year. Each quarter is 20%, the midterm and final are 10% each. So [(first quarter %)(2) + (second quarter %)(2)etc. + Midterm percentage + Final percentage] / 10 = final grade.

I think I remember saying that you were going to go to Uni or something? I think those are your only two options, get an apprenticeship of go to Uni and to your papers. The way the world is heading you are not going to get very far without those bits of paper.
In the end I did 2 night shifts, working 31 hours in a 48 hour period.
On the up side I got to service 2x Cat 773 dump trucks and a 45 tonne crane. Got up close and personal to a Cat D10 Bulldozer, dug some big holes with a Cat 330, 30 tonne digger.
Learn't to probably drive the 18 tonne service truck, eg using the high/low and the splitter.
I cant help but say, I really love my job!

deseil mechanic is awsome
i helped rebuilt a cat 789 truck tranny and removed the struts from a 793 truck
but then i had to was a 777 and sweep the workshop
apprentaships are good fun but be ready to do **** mindless jobs most of the day

theyre worth about 4% of my entire year grade.
hard to determind if you have exactly a 60% in a class..... you better pass!!!!
my school is made up of 90% rich white kids........ and the stuff we get is TOUGH... like the hardest school in the state.... not to be racist!

Our exams are 25% of our final grade. You need a 70 to pass a class, stupid 7-point grading scale
We have 8 classes a year, 4 a day for one semester, then the other four the next semester. Hour and a half classes SUCK.
My school is full of rich kids as well, which is why after 3 years, im moving to the school I saw supposed to which is ranked much lower.

We had 8 classes each semester, honestly an hour and a half class isn't even enough for some things. IMO if the class is any shorter, you don't get crap done.
Don't do this, you will regret it. Lower ranked schools don't get crap from federal/state funding, and thus have crappy equipment, crappy programs, and stripped down everything.
