Schools out for you? Mine gets out June 28th. It's ridiculous. I'm trying to get a job for this summer so that I can get a car, but no luck yet. Any money-making suggestions. I really don't want to work with people (restaurants, ect.) I would prefer hard labor but can't seem to find any of those jobs.

the longer hour of a job would stink, but getting paid and doing something you enjoy would definitely be nice.

i am with you dave i hate working with people and i might get a job were i work alone YAAAAA
the job would be for two weeks i would sort fireworks pull them out of boxses and put them together then i would get them ready to be shipped out to tents
alltogether two weeks of work and over 1K pretty nice hope i get it

I get out the 9th. We started in late Aug., like the 28th. Next year, we start Sep. 7 and get out like June 11 graduate June 15! I'm not happy about this.
And my job is quite easy and I really don't have to deal with people all day. I umpire baseball games of kids aged 9-12. I'm averaging like $12.69 an hour and I get to pick my schedule.

I get out of school in 7 days !!!! But im only in 8 grade. I am going to enjoy not having a job for as long as i can.
And my job is quite easy and I really don't have to deal with people all day. I umpire baseball games of kids aged 9-12. I'm averaging like $12.69 an hour and I get to pick my schedule.

i umped baseball last year(like 1st through 6th) couldent stand it every call i made i was getting yelled at..... EVEN IN FREAKING FIRST GRADE..... my last game i did last year i had coaches apoligize for yelling at me so much
and ur syaing udont have to deal with people????

You just ignore them and don't talk to them. Block them out and blow them off. It's not like you're stuck talking to them or helping them. I show up, get game balls, ump, ask for my money, and leave. I don't deal with people for more than 2 minutes.
"Let Me Google That For You" is by far the most fun site I've found in a while.
Ya for me i am not the person who can blow people Off. for me i always want to make people happy. so its hard for me to just not listen... inow this sounds Gay and sounds like i am a sensitive person... not really just how i am + umping first grade all day is just about one of the boring things u will ever do. also i hardly made any money....

Yeah pretty much. You just gotta realise that if everyone here on DIY google-searched instead of posting their questions, we'd only have about 5% of the threads/posts we do now, and this forum would probably just dwindle away and die.
Forums like this pretty much survive by newbies posting the same old tired questions over and over, and then the vets giving them some meaningful info that will actually help them solve their issue.
I'd be willing to bet most guys that find this forum do-so while on a google search. (thats how I found DIY) Newbies can google 'go kart', but most the time they dont know the correct terms to google when trying to solve their karts problems until they've spent some serious time researching and posting questions here...
