Starting my go kart in the garage not knowing the throttle cable housing was stuck on the outside of the throttle cap on a 22 mm mikuni basically sticking the throttle at about 1/4 throttle. Kart ran over my foot and across the garage untill it crashed into the stool and jamed into the workbench then I ran over and shut it down and man was I pissed. Only damage was a minorly bent tie rod which I repaired.

erm, well 1st one, scary for like 1/10th second.
going about top speed, (30mph ish) along our straight on the farm. breaked near the corner, but i just slid, and went into a big solid metal thing at about 20. only damage was buckled front bar, bent tie rod and bruised heel. second one, i wasnt on my gokart, but iwas scared for it, as it took off at full throttle and went up an almost vertical slope, about 2m. came back down, and luckily the engine died. only damage was a slightly bent roll bar thing (bent it back with a solid steel bar) and bent bar by the front wheel.

One of my top moments was when I first got my dingo and was going for a full speed run with my friend's dad clocking my speed with his truck. Full throttle down a road that looked flat but was far from it. I didnt think I was going too fast. The back wheels caught a bump the wrong way and I came down sideways they skipped back up and basicaly I was on the ground with only my right front tire. I didnt know it though because at my angle all I could see was the ground. So I though it was going to dig in and send me flipping forward. When we got back all my friends in the truck were like holy s***t. And when everyone went back inside her dad came up to me and said that was bouncing on 1 wheel at 50mph. lol I didnt know! I wish the road would have been more flat to see what it could have really done without he unicycle event!

2nd one was when we were playing cops and robbers. It was dusk and we all had our lights on. I was getting chased and going full throttle in a drift around a blind corner. Well my friend was just letting off the throttle so her lights werent so bright. By the time I got it reeled in from the drift we already collided. That didnt feel the best, but my kart was good...... hers not so much.

What you cant tell is how much the whole roll cage portion got knocked back on hers

I've had 2 close enclunters. Back before i switched to drums, i had a crappy band brake. The first time i was doing like 20 going toward a cul-de-sac. The brake ended up breaking and i had to press my shoes against the front wheels. The second time the same thing happened and i had to run up into someones yard to stop. Needless to say i went to northern and bought a drum brake. Never had a problem since.

My gf and I were messing around on the karts (racing style ones, no rollbars or anything), she ran into the side of mine going flat out and went up the edge of my kart and I basically ended up with her kart sitting on my shoulder, wasn't really scary for me but she hell shat herself hahaha. I geuss I'm pretty lucky her kart didn't go any further though. Pretty lucky it didn't flip too

My scariest moment driving a vehicle was when I was riding the quad down the laneway doing about 80kms, I came over the hill to see that part of the laneway had been washed away, basically there was a 8" high ledge in the lane. Basically I didn't see it until i was a couple of meters from it, there was no way I could stop, the lane was all muddy and the tires had no tread, probably doing about 70 when I hit it. The bike bucked me off and I landed on the front rack, It then endoed for about 20 meters clipped the fence and did a 270 spin! All with me on the front racks!

I suggested to my uncle (his land and bike) that he should fix the lane way, he didn't and a couple of months later some kid did the same thing except the bike flipped end over end, cleared the fence and ended up halfway across the next paddock, the bike was a brand new one too, only a couple of weeks old, the kid wasn't hurt to bad. My uncle fixed the laneway after that :roflol:

Apparently that kid wrote off a new Citroen the other week too :roflol:

BTW the bike was still idling where it landed (luckily on its wheels), the only damage was a smashed light and bent handle bars, good old Hondas :D

Well the first time I got in a gokart accident is when I was real young and the gokart I was riding in was doing a sharp turn, and there was a bump stepping up from the gravel to cement and the kart bounced me out onto the pavement and I got a couple nice scrapes on my legs! Another time is tat I was driving in the gravel portion of a country road and a big SUV started to speed up behind me and honking it's horn and ran me clear into the ditch tat was like a 2 foot drop! And last but not least I was driving my. Freinds homemade yard kart and I jumped a gravel pad then I lost control of the steering going down a steep hill almost ran off a 2.5' rockwall and then resulted in a 2 left tires doing a drift with the kart almost parallel with the ground!

i was in oz or taz on liberty, they had setup a kart riding event for us. i forget how much it cost but it was a few laps to get used to the karts and then 2 races. they had no bottom end so you really had to watch your speed. i slid out a few times into barricades, not that big a deal. on the 2nd race, 1st lap, 2nd turn i didn't want to let up on the gas because the leader was almost 100 yards ahead, i hit the curve and the gravel, spun out facing the oncoming racers. got hit head on. thats scary, somebody full-bore into you. bent tie rods, petcock broken on my karts tank. when i got my 2906 running i decided to test the suspension. where driveways meet the road here, is a nice jump. but only for one tire! i almost got booted out in front of the pos. at full speed! not on a kart, but, i was riding in the twisties and ended up in the grass. crotch rocket tires hate grass. i'm riding it as best i can doing 30 looking for a shallow hill to get back on the road. i see the barbed wire fence coming ever closer, and the shoulder disappearing. no easy way back onto the road. dump. bike sustained no damage, my helmets visor ended up with all sorts of dirt and hay embedded between it and the helmet. my neck hurt and my pinky got twisted back around.

when i was really little, i got to drive a gokart for the fisrt time, well, i didnt quite get the concept of gas and brake, so as soon as my mom tell me the on on the right is to go, i stomp on it, drive all the way to the end of a road where there is a ditch, do a 180, and drive all the way back when i finally figured out how to brake i stop right in front of my mom.
