I introduced myself about 6 months ago with my vintage Go Kart find. According to "Sid" it was a Rupp and worth doing something with it!! So 6 months later there is progress on the project. I am completely new into Go Karts so had to do a lot of reading and searching the WWW. Thanks to this forum I learned a lot. Just showing some pictures how the Rupp looks like right now after 6 months of blood, sweat and sometimes almost tears.
For the interested: I basically kept all the original parts and cleaned them thoroughly or restored them. Replaced all bearings and inner tubes. Rechromed engine mount plate and pedals. Replaced brake shoes. Still amazed how many "old" parts are available. Powder coated frame and rods.
So for now a seat, no idea where to find one, and a proper engine. I might install a Predator first to have it running. Sorry for the purists!!
Thanks for looking.
