Depending in the grade if the steel wool. You can go from 0 all the way to 0000. On the package itself it should tell you what grade it is. The more 0's, the finer the steel wool is. Best best is to grabe yourself some 0000. It shouldn't scratch it but i do sometimes notice very light marks, as if i lose slight chrome/reflection. That being said, USE POLISH after and you will restore all that chrome to it's "reflection" best.

... What he said...

I've been using steel wool on chrome for years & never had a problem...

OOOO Grade With Soap . The soap acts as a lube, polish with Semi Chrome Paste . I have read you can use Alum Foil also .

If you can't find one with three holes then you should buy one and just drill out the holes were you need them, which is the expensive option. If you want to make it right or you don't want to take your chances drilling out a brand new sprocket then get new hubs that fit your shaft.

I hope this helps.

I think that this site might help, find your rear axle size and maybe buy a new sprocket carrier you can probably buy a sprocket off the site and I would go for a 25 tooth rear axle (I have a shifter kart)

Sprocket carriers

Thank you! Just what i was looking for. Also, is there much of a difference from a large sprocket (25t) or a small sprocket (also 25t) like this for example;

I was afraid to drill into my case (or intake manifold) so I drilled the rubber boot part. It's replaceable and seals good with great suction.

use a 7/16 drill bit, 1/4 barb, and 1/4 tap thread

You managed to tap rubber? My boot to my reed cage is all rubber, unlike others that have boyesen boots made of metal. I was thinking about just drilling into the rubber as well.

Metal boot? I need one of those...

yes, i bought the tap but decided I wasnt going to drill the metal, so I drilled to boot and shoved in the barb. You may have to tap the rubber anyway because the barb wont go in easy. Also, put some sort of sealant around it and make sure the inside is smooth, file down the barb until smooth.
