I disagree with using a drill press, unless the chuck is super tight and with no run out. I do mine by hand using a pen drill, keeping the drill steady and turning the jet by hand. Some call a pen drill, a jewelers drill. You can by them at HF with a few drill bits. The AGK article has some help info, especially the chart.
You should not have put any tube inside.... It's now holding back more pressure than you think.... I made same mistake.....
Side note.....
I found your next project. When I saw this, I immediately thought of you...... Just gear it SLOW.......I think your son would love it..... I think you would too......
Hope the pic comes out big enough.....![]()
Crap... I only did that because that is the way my gy6. Muffler looked before I gutted it, and it ran fine.
I have been eyeballing that too Jim. Except I was planning on Using a 55 gallon drum.
^ This. I agree 100%
I've also heard them called pin vises.
Thanks.Nice set up. Sounds real good. Once I get my wife's bike done I am planning on putting a side car on min like you all are talking about. I will be keeping a close eye on your project for some inspiration.
