Hello! My kids have a Coleman GK200, and they vent the wheel. I can't seem to get them off, even using my impact gun. Is there something I'm missing? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Remove the black hub cap, Dan, in the center of the wheel. Should be a nut under there with a cotter pin through it. Where's the vent [bent] wheel?

Ah, I thought it was the 3 bolts in the rim. This is the bent wheel. It wobbles when it turns. They rolled it and it's dented in here. 1000015141.jpg

Aha. I saw that slight bend on the rim but it looked inconsequential, at least from the angle you photographed it. Curious to see just how bad it wobbles. You can usually bend the rims quite severely in hard usage, like just one side and not enough to let the air out, but if you're lucky the tire itself will still spin true, if you catch my meaning. Let us know if you have any further issues with the kart/buggy.

Thank you! I appreciate the help. I tried to get a good photo from the back to show how much it's off. It wobbles pretty bad when they drive it. 1000015144.jpg

I can see that it is askew. Good photo!

I guess we can say the wheels are a weak spot on the Coleman karts. Start at post #38 in the linked thread below and read it to the end. Instead of the Carter kart, which is the topic, the member bought a Coleman GK200 same as yours: 😧

Lol! He was trying to show off to a friend and it bit him. They haven't had it very long too, just a couple months. Kids like to learn the hard way. Nobody got hurt, and he's itching to go back out and try again. Thanks again!

You are correct, you need to remove the three bolts and nuts on the back side to remove the wheels.

That's not the way the wheels are installed according to the assembly manual (in post #2) but I know nuffink and neither do the Chinese!! :cornut:

Make him fix it, or assist. ;)

Yes. 3 bolts and nuts take the tire off the hub.
Once the tire is off spin the axle to see if the hub or axle is bent or if it spins true.
There's is a hub cap so to speak, it just pops on there. Underneath is a castle nut and a cotter pin. That will take the hub off the axle if needed.
If you have the means, you can take the tire off the rim and beat it back into shape with a hammer.

Sorry Hellion but you better read those structions again. He doesn’t want to take the hub off. Just the wheel. Remove the 3 nuts and bolts like I said before. ;)

I’m just sitting here in anticipation and the suspense is killing me. How about you? Dan better be working on the wheel, the morning’s wasting away. 🌅:coffee:😴:coffee:

Taking the wheel off, with the hub as a unit and from the outer side (no reach around) just looks easy peasy.

How dare someone ask for advice and not immediately use it and give us the instant gratification we need so badly!
Ususlly happens when the advice delivered is "inaccurate" or the advice dispensed by our panel of experts is something the recieving party does not want to hear.
I am not referring to the current thread, but a general "trend" only.
