Registered Go Kart?

My advice is "Don't".
It sounds fun, but the odds are some moron will run over you and when it gets to Court (assuming you live) the Judge will buy his Lawyer's "My client never saw him" line. People don't look for motorcycles, they're sure as hell not expecting a go kart.
The last thing you need on a back road is someone coming around a corner in your lane.

Im sure hes talking about a larger kart, more like a buggy. there are probably height restrictions.

well this is what i got from the dmv today No, a vehicle has to have a Federal Certification label which indicates that it was manufactured for highway use to be title and registered in Wisconsin. A go kart cannot be altered to qualify.

There are plenty of loopholes, especially for a custom or highly modified build. Think kit car.
Calling the DMV and asking them about anything is nearly always going to get you a "no". Either because they don't know what they're talking about, or they don't want to deal with it.

You need to find out their regulations for a kit car or "special construction" vehicle. If you follow all the equipment regulations, you usually just need an inspection by a state patrol officer to complete the process.

There are many loopholes. I know in PA than many little Chevy S-10's carry truck registration plates while there are F350's that have a regular vehicle registration. I know these can be differing applications, but to get a 350 registered as a regular vehicle is kind of backwards. That is a full size truck.

Well if you can manage to street legal a go-cart you will be the hero of alot of Quad AtV riders for sure I know they've been tryin for a whyle to do this..

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, but people get run over in small towns too!
Even if you can find a loophole, the rollcage isn't going to make it much more visible than a regular kart. Compared to the height of the ATV in the background, the basic kart is still pretty close to the ground.
As Brisco Darling (Andy Griffith Show) would say, "More power to you" but the idea scares the hell out of me.

You guys have convinced me when i get it built and all ready to go i will take it to the DMV and get the kart checked out by a state patrol officer

Hang tail lights and turn signals from the top of the cage in the rear as well as lower so that you are VERY noticeable. Add more lights than necessary because you are still a kart.
