Have taken off 270 with tav and put on 212 cc engine .
Have it all set but all of a sudden the engine has too much compression to pull with starter rope.
I did not have time to check it out..so asking if n e 1 out there has an idea what this is??

Try checking the valve clearances??

Leaking carburetor has flooded the cylinder with gasoline?

Pull out the spark plug and if the recoil starter operates, pull it vigorously several times to dispel the fuel.

If this is the case, make sure the plug wire is where it won't spark in anything. I nearly blew my face off doing this once. Fortunately the security camera caught it and I was able to get video.

I am taken back to...

A time (being 60 ish) that we made our karts out of grocery carts ,rider frames and refridgerator doors..

We called them carts .we did not kare about writing..

Care to explain how those transactions went , and what you paid for those "carts"?

Actually, you'll find we like to BS a lot....so...no problems....IF!!! ...you can put up with us!!!!

it appears the exhaust valve push rod came out of position ..

I reseated it and gapped it and it is running just fine..

I rode it in front a a police speed trailer.

That happens pretty often...( not getting clocked by cops....) but those pushrods running away from home.
