Hey forum, are switchblades/automatic knives legal in your state, city or county? They were decriminalized here not too long ago. Silly laws, probably stemmed from 1950s mafia/gangster hysteria and the like.
Only spring assisted or manual open knives here in Michigan.

Well a few pops on the porch before it gets dark. Can't hardly go outside cause its 105°.
Ill have to get more evidence to conclude but id say half of the noise went away.
Perhaps a better bore fit next time.
Ill call it a glass pack. Still a bit throaty but not open headers.

I waited over a year to get the clearance to get my first "muffler". My second one took almost 9 months. You are inspiring me to get some pipe and do it myself. Have y'all seen those solvent trap kits? Interesting.

Solvent traps screw on the barrel to catch the solvent

Right, or contain the spatter from the bore brush as it exits the muzzle, like flicking your thumb across a wet toothbrush, it’s messy. I made one from a 6-8oz bottled water bottle and some string. Tie it to the front sight base, et voilá.

If you point the muzzle down, you can really saturate the bore and let the residue collect in the bottle, then draw it up again with a sort of siphon action. Good point on re-using the solvent. It can continue to do its job despite being gunked up.

At least the tax stamp to the "crown" is gone. Still takes around 9 months to get approved. So stupid considering it is the same background check as a firearm. "Hey, you are approved to purchased your firearm, but need to wait 9 months to make it not kill your hearing."
