Looks pretty similar in design to the old VW engines. Does it run cylinder head temps sensors just to keep an eye on head temps?

Yes a 6 point CHT/EGT and a single point CHT/EGT as a back up.
All engines have at least a single point. You adjust the mixture to bring temps to desired range.
Full rich on take-off and then lean it out in-flight to conserve fuel. You dont like burning 18GPH if you can help it.

And yes the old VW and I think the boxer ( never seen one) are similar. 2 part case. Pain to split and reassemble.
This is only a top end job. But we have another engine coming in this coming week that will need a full rebuild. Its on a pallet thakfully.

Woke up yesterday feeling like crap. Think I got a sinus infection. Came into work and been here all day. My advisor is like, "I've been bringing in vehicles all day for you to help you make hours. The least you can do is have some motivation". I went off on him. Everyone else noticed I looked bad, but apparently he did not see that at all. Guess he also missed that I had like 30 paper towels in my pockets most of the day to help blow my nose.

If you ever need an example of toxic management, look no further.

That's the worst man. Hope you feel better. My wife just went through this crap as well, but she was able to work from home last week. My work is the same way, bring your sick *** to work and get everyone else sick. My old man has the same crap right now. I've managed to avoid it somehow, and always get it before everyone else. God willing, the grind still goes on for us men. Keep your head up and your nose to the grind. Things will get better you bro!

Called in today. I try not to make it into a habit of calling in. Checked my temp last night and it was 101.4⁰F. Checked it this morning and it was 100.4⁰F. Just a bit fatigued and didn't sleep well again. Kept needing to blow my nose every so often just to breathe a bit easier. Will see a doctor later this morning to see if I can get something for this fever and sinus infection.

Welp, flu swab test came back negative, much of the surprise of my doctor. So probably just the obligatory upper respiratory or sinus infection.

Doctor got me a prescription for Prednisone to last a couple days. That stuff can be quite potent if used long term.

Trust me, I know. My mom gained a ton of weight when she was given it back in the 90s/early 2000s. You're only supposed to be on it very temporarily. She was on it for, I think almost a year and gained about that much weight as well, probably why her health took a nose dive.

Fortunately, its only a 3 day supply, of only 6 pills, taken twice a day.

That's near room temp. Most of these people, their shoe size doubles as their IQ.

We had to change a busted tire on a 3t loader and it looked exactly like that except the jacks were slowly sinking into hot asphalt. No one really wanted to get under it but the loader stood in the middle of a narrow road so we had to get it moving fast. The guy in charge volunteered because it was mostly his responsibility, and because he's a 70 IQ retard.

I've got one more prednisone to take and then done with this prescription. Feeling better today than I did yesterday. Probably will still have this lingering cough for the next few months, as that is just how my luck is.

According to my dad and brother, I've more or less have had a lingering cough since I was about 2 years old. So roughly 31 years. No idea how or why.
