Ive found it help to sand the pads to mate with the disc, aswell as a light pass with a flap wheel freshens up the faces..

Yup. Sanded and faced. I added an extended link on the caliper lever. More umph but more pedal travel. I had to make an extension for my brake rod too because I rerouted the linkage to the outside of the frame, back to stock location.

Got my eyes on a kiddy quad I can salvage parts off of. I want to put the front dual A-arms on it and swap over to a hydraulic brake.

If you sand brake pads, I'd recommend wearing a dust mask and use 80 grit paper or a bit more coarse. I find that 80 grit is about the bare minimum to get what you want with pads and rotors. I do it every brake job.

I drew this faster than going outside for a pic.
Nothing fancy. Some flat stock with some holes. 2 bolts in the lever and one on the brake rod like normal. Just making a bigger lever. :cheers2:

And for extending the long pedal rod I did the same thing. Basically had to reposition the pedal.

I spent 2 hours yesterday unhooking a stupid Honda wiring harness from the Crossfire and trying to wire the stock one back up. But the stock one is toast so I'll either have to get a new one or make on myself. Probably going to make one myself since all the components and devices still look good.

Had a visitor today...

A 5 foot Bull snake. Non-venomous. They have been known to eat rattlesnakes. That's good in my book so he got relocated down the road aways.

Speaking of critters, I've had a few run ins with some lately. There's been either a squirrel or a bird that keeps dragging moss into my garage, and trying to build a nest on one of the shelves above my garage door. This shelf happens to also be over where I park my drifter, so my seat keeps getting covered when it falls down.

Also I found a rat's nest in the glove box of a truck I was given a few weeks ago.

I do have a pellet gun, but it kinda sucks. At 50 feet, it's got about a 9 inch wide grouping at best. I can beat that with a bow. But I like the tin on my garage to be free of holes, so I'll probably just put a board up there to keep them out.

With having a 3 day weekend, decided to install a classic game that I had never played until yesterday, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Its definitely a more challenging game than the first one and the third. Surprised it actually plays well in backwards compatibility mode on Windows 10, just need to fix the resolution. Fun game though.

So i am forced to stay at home and work as many of you are.....and all i can say is that the monkeys around the house are driving me mad!!!:censored:We have troupes of Vervet monkeys everywhere that will come through your property pretty much everyday. My dog goes nuts each time.

They can really be a nuisance sometimes. They raid your kitchen if you leave a window or door open, or they tear up your rubbish bags. With me being at home now the whole time...they are really bugging me :D :D

You can see two of them hanging on the fence around the pool

That's funny Landuse. I know it normal in some parts of the world, but its still crazy that monkeys are just roaming around outside your house.

I've been reading that with all the reduced human traffic and activity, many people are seeing more and more wildlife. Some are even spotting rare or elusive animals.

Another positive (if you can call it that) about all this is the air pollution has been reduced. Also seen a story about a local river that is now starting to run clear.

Crazy times....

Haha! I'm sure that's INCREDIBLY annoying, but I can't help but find that funny! :lolgoku:
My dogs here go nuts when there's a squirrel in the yard. Launches one of them into a frenzy of squeaking, whimpering, yelping, and whining, ALL AT ONCE! It keeps waking the baby up! ARGH! :surrender:

Ahh yess.. the Coronial blues sets in again.....
I decide hey why not hook up the ol surround sound unit and speakers/sub.. letter rip on the interwebs with all the new music and other bs being produced.... all in quality sound...
I got a big tv/monitor why not... itll be cool....
Rightttt... cool story braaa...

I go to set up the surround sound stereo system, I havent used in years, been feeling pretty stir crazy with all the covid going around... I use my tv as a monitor for my computer... I like it and I also watch some tv occasionally...
Get the speakers unpacked, cleaned wired up and ready positioned everything else to make it work... hook up some cables and go to set to AUDIO OUT....Or I assumed it could...
I checked the manual, no info on that...
I checked around on the web......Hard no, not an option with this tv.....
Its a basic model from Costco... so it doesnt do that....

So... ran around screaming for a bit to tire me out... After, managed to find a "splitter" device that takes HDMI and parts off some of the audio to a sound system, for cases like this, in a 3.5mm jack...
So Im a bit happier.... Fortunately I can get it next week, not next month, due to the covid....

I also have the input cable to hook my phone to it for sound, so I can in the mean time, watch YT and others there, with the sound, till I get the splitter box...

Good times....

I'm hoping that a hub that Performance 670 has can be used for my project. If it can then I think I know what my engine alternative will be.
