Day one ...........

Good times!!! Thanks for the rundown of the trip. I went camping last year in the mountains in the middle of winter. It was at a really cool campground. It was really cold, but awesome fun. I am hoping to go camping again at the beach when it gets warmer again (its winter here again now).

Here are some pics of us camping :D

It was nice, because when we got back to the end of the backpacking trail, it came out next to the Basin Store.
So one of the leaders bought everyone drinks on himself. A cold Dr Pepper is SO GOOD after being out in the desert for hours!!!
Just so y'all know, I am a HUGE Dr Pepper fan! I actually brought along ~3 cans of Dr Pepper Dark Berry on the campout and drank all of it.
WHO ELSE LIKES DR PEPPER?!?!?

I'm not sure I've actually ever had Cherry Dr Pep, at least not recently. Although I have been drooling over it lately, just have yet to drink it!

Never had Cherry Dr. Pepper? One of the best sodas that has a Kiss of cherry in it? March on down to the gas station, buy a 20oz bottle of that and chug it.

Of course this is my choice drink. Granted I prefer making my own with grenadine and a couple maraschino cherries, but it's the closest thing right now.

We could if we had wanted to, but there wasn't a spot round there that had been used before, so we would have had to get a couple of rocks to circle it. And we had an excitable 7 year old around playing with his soccer ball, so we thought it best to use the official area :D

Been going stir crazy, so I needed something to do...

Well the woman needed a planter for the backyard... We have a tiny spit of yard of concrete... so a box is in order..

A bunch of scrap from a lumber yard I go to. Kinda slapped together but worked with what I had...
Even mitered the top pieces... first coat of spar finish....
About 3'x1x 15" high....

I love the firepower valve covers... So cool looking...
A couple years back... I should have bought a set of nice Chrome covers I saw for a good deal...
Even to just hang them up...
