usually we say add a bit of heat.. which in your case is a NONO! (plastic and such)
you should also be carefull not to wet the plastic with unknown/untested penetrating oils.
chances are it's reacting with the plastic (dissolving it, or just softening it)
(the acetone ATF mix sure would!)
upside down, a drop on the metal insert, when it's gone another drop ... and so on.
As I said I used a wrench (fork resting against the metal insert) and a mallet to hit said wrench,
that did the trick for me
(after it sat for ~12h soaked in Caramba [the local name brand multi oil])
two or three taps and the rust gave up
