And yet I read on another site that the Powerfist is, or might be, a Tillotson engine. 🤔 Can you show us what the stenciling or “electro pencil” markings on your engine say? The exalted Predator 212cc is a Rato 210. I guess the extra 2cc is “marketing”.

Waiting patiently for the first exploratory photos after you ‘surgically’ remove the sump cover.

Since you do have an infirmity, a winch it is. Carry on good sir.

Yes Ive seen that also on some purchase sites, as a Ducar/Tillotson but my guy says 90% of the blocks come from Ducar, which is still china.

I should have the afternoon and evening to put some time into clearing out some shop space tomorrow. Usually my main tinkering is woodworking so I have a bit to do but I'm looking forward to this build.

Ordered 10' of 420 chain, a 72T sprocket, torque converter, flywheel, that pack of gaskets, exhaust header and muffler- I screwed up and will have to return likely though, I didn't see the muffler pipe was 1/4 smaller than the header, and 3/4 to 1/2 just feels like im begging not to get past 8mph before stalling so I'll fix that when it arrives and I'm still trying to find a reasonable is conecting rod...Arcracing 6773 after shipping, exchange rate, almost nothing not being hit by tradewar or umbrellaed under the trade treaty Can/USA/Mexico, it doubles in price, 163 usd so...
If anyone has any hints towards a supplier than is above and beyond, that maybe doesn't make the google hot sheets...

Im using the knock off billet rod in my 420 and its holding up to 5-6k, so far. Almost positive you need the 3.308"

And just info to have it, there is a knock off cast aluminum flywheel on ebay and amazon that seems ok. Ive been using that for a while.

Yes. It’s actually quite amazing that those “flimsy” boat trailer jacks winches can move a 20’ fiberglass boat up an angled trailer (uphill as it were) on a boat ramp like it was nothing. I mean I expected it to be more of a gearbox with multiple reductions but it’s only like 3 gears. Due to various conditions it can make more sense to winch a boat on instead of driving it on.

You’ve got me thinking about a human powered winch with blocks or snatch blocks and all the usual accoutrements. As long as you have one good arm, it’ll always work. The human arm can produce a lot of torque, snap off nuts and bolts and do a lot of damage… it’s just that manual winching is tedious as heck.

Haha yeah I havested a lathe awhile back for the pulleys and as long as my pneumatic impact is near and I'm not trying to deadlift a thing, I regularly bring about 200lns over 50' feet up an angle of prolly 30or34 degrees, ie tools and parts or groceries, loaded onto a winter EVA foam sled, some grass some packed dirt. Works for at home but out and about...
And that's a great idea, boat winch to load with :D I bartered my neighbor an atv wheel tracks only minitrailelr for a 5x8 flatdeck aluminum trailer, gives me about 2 inches either side, there was apprehension lol boat winch it shall be!
Those boat winches are perfect if you're camping too, quick simple way to keep food raised up (or beer if you got teenagers) and its sound is a super distinct built in alarm too.

From what I'm told the buggy has the turning radius of a 737 so I'll take it easy until I figure the winch portion.


Okay the rod and flywheel... You're running a knock off but still billet rod, and what kind of toy? Heavy like what I've over here?

I'd be happy to put a flywheel and rod together for 70usd for sure... Sadly your rod fella doesn't ship to up here but I'll poke around eBay some more...
