Hunt 'em down, but bring others! This is an equal-opportunity hobby. If the womenfolk only knew how fun it was and rewarding when one does their own maintenance and upgrades...

Are you going to wire-brush that axle?

Yeah....meantime...we're short on women
..so you'll have to fill in..."hey officer...he's the best we got!" (Figure that one out.)

Here's a hint...but it'll still be tough: Dean Martin.

I saw this picture on Ebay.. Was wondering how do you put a brake cable to work with a brake band? I would like to do that since the brakes are going to be hard to press by foot.

A brake band works with a brake drum, which is often times attached to the drive sprocket. The band sits loosely on the drum, with one end fixed and the other end attached to the cable. When a pulling force is applied to the cable, the band exerts pressure on the drum to slow it's rotation. I have testicles and this is however it works..

Saw this ad on Craigslist. I don't know if it would be better to restore this Dingo or the Klipper go kart i have now.

Simple. Do them both. And if need be, "flip" one of them and keep the one that turns out better. But that Dingo looks like it needs basically nothing except some TLC. What's the challenge?

Well i don't have to much money but yeah might be easier to fix up the Dingo.

Well, we could always set up a Duckie92 Fund Me page (like Poboy's) and let our nickels and dimes trickle in for your kart expenditures. :D

I ask again: what's the challenge in that Dingo?

I hate Craigslist people sometimes. Im pissedddd lol. That guy for the go kart already sold it when i was the first one to reply to it because he barely posted it 5hrs ago when i contacted me.

I hear you. You'd think only the seller would have the issues; lots of no-shows, 'tire kickers', or just no calls period. Lots of flaky people. But I seem to be getting the reverse as a buyer--the sellers are flaky!

One guy took forever to make time for the sale and another barely answers texts and cannot be moved to complete the sale, for weeks now. I guess it's true--"People perceive no value in that which costs them nothing." Back in the day it cost you money to run an ad in the paper and people were motivated to sell. . .
