Could i take off the 4 bolt tire mount and put on the tire just like that? Or would i need to put something behind the tire?

Not sure what you're asking, but if the rear axle is keyed for a similarly keyed live axle wheel you could use that instead of the 4-bolt hub but you'd need a spacer to prevent the wheel from sliding inboard... I think.

:huh::huh::huh:

Unfortunately....(I could be wrong) ...but this is the way I see it.....(from what I think I see) your axle bearing is outside of your carrier...it looks like it's seen better days, and if parts of your axle are rusted up enough that you can't disassemble it....probably a good indication that you SHOULD!

SO...I Really think you should do as previously advised and completely disassemble and inspect the whole axle assembly.

Don't use WD-40; it sucks but has gained an undeserved 'household name' reputation as a do-it-all snake oil concoction. Get PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench, both aerosol. The Liquid Wrench I use, when used with the little red straw attachment, foams when you use it so it stays in place. Maybe they all do...

P.S., They don't work immediately all the time. They take time and repeated applications sometimes but they usually save you from destroying the nut, bolt, etc.

I used to say the same thing until I tried WD-40 Specialist Penetrating Oil....it's better than PB or Liquid Wrench. It's a totally different product that only shares the WD-40 brand. WD-40 also now makes a dry lube in the Specialist line....I haven't tryed it yet...but I'm thinking it be good for chains.
