Don't know to much about this go kart. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix. It's a Klipper as the pedels say on it.

Kart's are relatively simple, with a new motor you should be up and running quick.

So i want the front tires to be higher. At the moment they are 4.00-6. If i get 12x4.00-6 would that work? I just want higher ground clerence and the back tires are 145/70-6. Also it kinda looks like the axle is bend. What do you think?

All I see is what might be an optical illusion making the axle look bent, based on the angle of the frame. I say disassemble everything just so you know what you have. Inspect, remove any rust and lubricate if needed, and reassemble.

I also agree with the others' tire/wheel choice. The same all around would be the most economical and practical.

That's what i was thinking but would the back wheels fit the front? I would think so since there both 6 inch rims. I was also just going to dissassemble the axle to see if it really is bend but i got a stubborn screw for the band brake. Would these rims fit the 145/70-6?

Could i take off the 4 bolt tire mount and put on the tire just like that? Or would i need to put something behind the tire?

Sorry i can only post one picture at a time. This is the set up they had for the gas pedel. What do i need to do to fix this? They had electrical tape holding the throttle cable.

Interesting throttle activator--part cable and part rod. Judging by the tiny hole drilled into the end of that rod (or the larger hole, even), maybe you could add some kind of locking collar that pinches the cable like the photo I've added. Not sure of the proper name of this item though...

Shoot, even a properly sized bolt that fits the diameter of the large hole that the end of the cable is running through (in your photo) could be used to clamp the cable to the rod. Just drill a transverse hole through it slightly larger than the diameter of the cable, place it in the hole, slide the cable through the small hole you just drilled and add a nut to the bolt and tighten it all down.

That's a dohickey....you can get one for $0.25 from BMI + $25 shipping.

I made a quick and dirty illustration just for you... ;)

This might just be the Poboy way, assuming you have an array of nuts and bolts already in your possession. The gray is the square piece on the end of your throttle rod and the red arrow indicates the hole you have to drill. Run the cable through the hole, put a nut on the end and voilà.

Or, forget drilling a hole in the bolt. Just wrap the cable around it and use the nut to cinch it down. Sort of like wire terminals on old school audio equipment.

Use a drill. About a 1/8" drill bit oughta do it. Sorry if I presumed too much, but you are on a go kart forum.
