Am I the only one who thinks that putting a 80hp engine in a frame designed for maybe 15hp max is a bad idea?

No, but i also believe that said frame can be modified to handle it.

I heard, just the other night, that
the top speed of a Bugatti Vehron is limited to 253mph; it can go as fast as 260mph but, at that speed, handling could become an issue

I think that's where exenos was heading with that comment; the frame can be reinforced but, that won't help the steering, suspension or brakes; ALL of these areas need to be upgraded to deal with the added power of the engine.

It's a bit like putting a Ford Mustang engine in a Ford Escort; if everything else is left original, the engine will tear the rest of the car to pieces before you find out that it's undrivable...

Thus the reason why I am modding everything as the pictures show. And just because it might do 100mph doesn't mean that I am going to try it.

That wasn't directed squarely at you Speedfreek, I've seen the pics, it was more of a general PSA...

One thing I will direct at you is make sure the swingarm is rock solid; as you know by now, the orignal tubing isn't too heavy...

Oh, ok. Thanks guys. I got some pillow block bearings today. I have to strengthen the rear end a lot. It looks pretty weak. Thank you all for your opinions and encouraging words.

It was a relatively recent build that made me point that out Speedfreek, the guy wanted to put a 150hp mod 700 into a yerfdog frame with minimal modifications and I wasn't too sure how far you were going to go with building up the frame.

I just noticed something, the upper and lower frame rails that your control arms mount to are not connected at the front. You might want to do that. Otherwise you could end up with unwanted movement.
