"Project Thanos" drag bike...

So I did not do a build log or any step by step since I just had fun building this mini. I wanted something that will hold a 420cc with a torque converter... I wanted fast off the line and this fit the bill.

The frame is a custom frame by Bobby Hammond of MetalFabCreations, since I am only 3 hours away from him I picked up the frame once he was done with it. The gas tank, wheelie bar, kick stand, header pipe, torque converter cage, frame and forks were all done by MetalFabCreations. The seat was upholstered by Bill Moon and I am totally digging it. Most of the rest of it was purchased at GoPower Sports since they are local to me and stuff I had laying around. I will try and list everything on this bike but may forget a thing or two.

Predator 420cc
Stage 2 Kit, which includes a billet flywheel, cam, 50lb springs and port/polish the exhaust and ported the intake.
34mm Flat Slide Mikuni (Genuine) with 0.2 needle jet, 210 main jet and 32.5 pilot jet.
Walboro fuel pump
Front 10" modular wheel, and rear 7.5in DWT wheel with a 6in tire stretched to it. Stretching was a pain to do, finally was able to make it using some straps around the tire.
Everything was powder coated in purple with some silver flake.
The brake caliper is from a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and I am digging the way it slows down. Very easy to modulate.
The muffler is a standard RLV muffler with 1 5/16 input.
I am sure I am forgetting something but pics attached from the progress.

Right now it is sitting at a 15" tire, 10t on the jackshaft and 47t on the axle. No issues whatsoever taking off and so far I am have only taken it very slowly (25 or so mph) just to make sure everything is good. My goal is at least 60mph so I have a ways to work up to that.

This was by far my longest project, the whole thing started in December 2018 and I am just now finishing it and its almost ready to ride. I just have to figure out some sort of chain tensioner and it will be done.

Honestly right now no plans to take it to the drag strip until I sort out all the small stuff. Where I live is in the middle of nowhere and the "main road" sees almost no traffic so I just run all my toys up and down the road and in the undeveloped fields around me. Eventually I would like to see what it would do in the 1/8 mile.

Yeah sorry did not even think about it, I was just learning about a lot of things and it took forever to complete. I already have plans to stretch my Baja DirtBug so that will be a build log for sure

Ha had no clue you were local, Bobby is a cool dude though, major skills... Wife and I drove to get the frame and then stopped by the OKC Bombing Memorial, that was nice to see especially the tree that still stands there and the writing on the wall... lots of bees flying into the eyes

How's the leg and foot clearance? It looks like the air cleaner is in the way and the TC on the other side reminds me of open primary foot amputators.

just one very minor thing I am not particularly fond of:
the zip ties!
don't get me wrong, love 'em never have enough of them myself..

but on that bike...
some proper clamps which do not squeze the tube
would be waaay nicer (motorcycle cable clamps might also look nicer)
3d printed or cut from flat stock
then painted... yeah yeah I'd go for that..
just to push the overall build quality into the very last detail

Yeah it is quite long, but it is adjustable and removable so hopefully it won't bug me too much

I absolutely hate the way the zip ties spoil the look of this bike and def want something different.

Any recommendation for some good clamps? If I cannot find anything to buy I will make my own for sure but if there is something off the shelf I am game.

Ha, nice. I still family living in Germany, just outside of Würzburg in a small village called Eisingen. I am hoping to make a visit there this summer!

there are some cable clamps in the mobike shops..
but usually for single ..seldomly twin cables
I seen one quadruple I think
(gas and clutch) some anodized aluminium but mostly chromed diecast..
just googling "motorcycle cable clamps" should yield some.

Don't even know if the caliper fits your tubes tbh
but with the number of tubes at the back,
I'd say you'd have to make your own anyways

cut and drilled from flatstock
(tube can be fed through the bore hole easily I guess)
blued steel would be nice, aluminium is always great (there's even paint that makes it appear anodized)
or clear -maybe translucent colored- acrylic
that'd not only machine very easily but also looks nice..
and since that bike doesn't sit out in the weather too often I guess, it may hold for quite a while too.
