Exciting news from the MTL design and prototype division the chain adjuster/tensioner is complete! I'm ok with it. There are no real options due to space limitations.This is it final revision #1643a! It took two days of fu...l mean trying different things.
This finely crafted hybrid device combines an adjuster to take up chain slack and provide a spring "shock absorber".
Speaking of slack, one link of #50 chain makes a huge difference in length and slack.
it's like 5/8 inch!
So i know its one link too long, ideally 1.5 link.
I'll run it a little and see if it stretches any.

I hope I didn’t, but I’ll know for sure in 2 or 3 days. Until then I’ll be sitting and rocking and crying in a corner mumbling no over and over again.

It’s ok, I’ve been saved!!! There was a 71 Vette on BAT I accidentally bid on. It was totally disassembled like a big model car. I still don’t have my new shop built yet. Can’t find anyone to do it.

Yup, my emotions clouded my judgement. I can’t save them all. It was warbonnet yellow too! A bad color for me to have,(too big of a cop caller).
I’m just glad I have no place to put a 1954 Greyhound Scenic Cruiser! I think those are beautiful busses!

I can picture that! You could organize DIYGK field trips to the comet belt factory!
