70% look like I'm dropping sh*t after a night of whiskey, beer and White Castle sliders!
Seriously? that bad?

Let's not even talk about those impossible places to reach. Standin on yer head tryin to get underneath that impossible spot.
10 pounds of crappy weld is equal to 1 pound of good weld.
I turn the gas off and get the porous welds that look like lava. I read on the internet that the welds are 40% lighter!
I'll pass on other good tips as I learn them...
Yer welcome

The welds look tough as nails and honestly don't look that bad. Paint will make a huge difference on appearance as well.

30% of my welds look like I'm dropping dimes, and the other 70% look like I'm dropping sh*t after a night of whiskey, beer and White Castle sliders!
How dare you defame my beloved White Castles!!! This means war! I’m going to get Pentagram Pete to bomb your house.

Wife and I went to New York 10 years ago. After flying across the country, arrived at the hotel about 1 am. Starving. First thing we found was a White Castle joint. Had never heard of them before. We ate sliders. Worst fast food we have ever eaten.

It’s ok if you say that Bill. You’re from the land of fruits and nuts, not a midwesterner. You don’t know any better. My home town and me are the only city in the crave hall of fame!!! Well White Castles decided we needed a new building being that ours was from 1938. We all decided we didn’t. Whiting Indiana residents don’t like change. So we all launched a write in and call in campaign to them against the idea. Offered them free land to build in a different spot if we could keep the building and everything. We lost, they tore down the original porcelain tin building (The Porcelain Palace as we referred to it) and built us a modern store. But we did get the whole town into the Crave Hall of Fame and got to keep for the historical society what ever we wanted (except the building).
PS. Most people believe that W.C. in Whiting opened in 1935 White Castle has lost our records it was so long ago, but it was one of the original porcelain tin buildings not used after 1938 according to them. My grand parents went there for lunch after they got married. So did my mom and dad after their wedding and me and my ex-wife after ours. Lots of marriages started off there!

Haven't been east of the rockies in 50 years, so I can't comment on White Castle. Here on the left coast we have In-n-out.
Which has a cult like following, but I just don't get it!
Didn't know in and out ( the burgers the burgers ) was up there in Oregon. Best fast food burger in the land of fruit and nuts by a long shot. Some places call us
" Granola's". Keep those bright lights burning.

Meanwhile, back at MTL.
Got the upper control arms roughed out and temporary installed. Welds are mo bedder, but not great. The Hak o vision weld light helps a bunch.
I rewired the foot switch so when the pedal is depressed the light goes out. Then the auto dark goes clear, welding starts, pedal is released, light goes on, and l can see!
l'll do some fine tuning and my welds might be acceptable.
