Don't listen to him. Put your pedals where you find them to fit best.
I tried all 4 positions before I found what fit me. My other cart is set up differently cause my wife is shorter than me so I set that one to fit her.
There is no wrong way.

PC, not sure about the "Backwards" but If Rail Rider is in Europe you are sitting on the wrong side of the kart....???? Just a guess
