Well if the reservoir is upside-down the shock wont work properly. All you'd have to do is take off the subframe/airbox and silencer than just unbolt the top and bottom bolts then flip it overtakes like 10 minutes.
Looks like a fun project and that was a good price for that bike

Also your not going to have near as much engine breaking on a two stroke as on a four stroke its almost not even noticeable maybe try dual rear breaks because fronts are super expensive? but its better not to slide the front wheels I guess

Hey guys, back after a long break. This build will continue this summer again, i put of the project for a while because i was saving money from work and working hard in school. Some news is that the bodyshop where i worked burned down. We had an enormous fire and it burned the whole shop, luckily i took my frame out of the shop a few days before it happened. So waiting on paint now, and ive gotta get the engine running.

My problem with the cr80 is that there wasnt any spark, so i changed the spark plug and still no spark. Connected the multimeter and there was current till the cdi unit i think, so im guessing i need a new cdi unit? can i use any cdi unit?

Glad to hear you got the frame out before the fire; I'm sure I won't be the only one who's waiting to see what you do with it! As for the CDI, I'll defer to others who have the experience with them to help sort that out.

Alright so im going to see if i can find out where my problem is on the dirtbike engine.

Other than that, heres a list of what ill need:

Sprocket
Seat
New tie rods
fuel lines
brake lines
new tires (i wanted 2 sets)

Also, a guy here is selling gsxr1000 brakes for like 60 bucks.. thinking of maybe getting them and running front brakes? If thats possible.

Ill post some pictures up soon too. Im going to work from friday again at a friends so ill bring back some 2k highbuild primer and spray the frame at home

1) The disc on that gsxr is probably bigger than the tires on your kart.
2) You need a hub that the discs and tires will mount to.
3) Unless that bike has dual discs on the front, you will only have brakes for one of your front wheels.

hmm i didnt consider those things lol. thanks for pointing it out.

**** front brakes are $$$ though.

Also, can i use a small car radiator instead of buying a actual shifter radiator? Im talking around the same size, just from a car. I can get them cheap since i work at a bodyshop/collision repair place
