Right about now the Home Depot returns desk is busy processing all the Christmas decorations that "don't fit".
Lights get sold in December, Returned in Jan, get discounted 75 %, then sold again. Then returned because they got used or broken stuff.

I assume buying pallets of homedepot returns is probably a decent purchase. So many Milwaukee tools come back. I’ve learned Return to Vendor usually means they go to a redistribution center to be sold / auctioned as is.

My favorite was a customer trying to return a 2’ x 2’ drywall panel with a 6” patch cut out of it. Mam, how can I resell this as a 2’ x 2’ sheet? “But we barely used any of it.”

For my 301, I couldn't even find a gasket set for when I built it. I bought a set for the Honda 270 and everything but the head gasket fit. The bore is smaller on the 270, so I'm sure that the rings won't work. Ended up carefully removing the original and reusing it.

NR Racing called me back today. Said i was searching for 301 rings. The nice lady said they have been having trouble sourcing them and have had several people asking for them too.

I did however finally run across some rings. 80mm x1.2mm
They fit a kohler CH23(?) twin that goes in ride on mowers and small yard tractors.

I let the lady at NR know where I found them and she seemed interested. Maybe they can get some for their other customers.

Did we find out what the thickness of standard 301cc rings are. I know the Kohler ones you said were 1.2mm … is that the same as the Predator? Forgive me if you mentioned it before. I know you mentioned 1.2 and 1.5mm or sumthin before.

I’ve also used Kohler parts on a predator. My electric start / charging Hemi 212 has a Kohler CH240 flywheel.
