I am putting a predator on a kawasaki 125 dirt bike, using a 30 series TAV. It has a 26in tall rear tire and currently has a 50 tooth spocket, I know I need a taller one, what size would you guys reccomend?

What happened to the exsisting motor...

Overall it's possible to fit... But it's alot of work.. Completely different mounting style...

Oh, your going to have to use a 72t at least...
Also you major issue will be to figure out tensioning with the swingarm as it is...
Might need a jackshaft...

gear for 25-40 mph at 3600 rpm. Do the calculation assuming the engine shaft is the jackshaft.

You can go as low as 8 tooth on the 30 series jackshaft with 40/41/420 chain.

ok so a 90 tooth sprocket with the 10 tooth front, that's going to be a hard on to find

I dont like the 8 tooth sprockets because of how thin they are. but I may have to go that route

i have ran 6 hp, 13 hp and 30+ hp on an 8t sprocket, and have never had an issue. No chain tensioner either. Just keep everything lined up, lube, and tension the chain right and you will be okay.

72/10 ratio for that heavy roller, but #41 chain...

You won't have any trouble finding a 10-tooth with the right bore for your TAV, or a 72-tooth for the rear, just wondering how the rear sprocket will mount to your motorcycle rim. Just make sure to use the bigger #41 chain and sprockets from the start. I made the #35 mistake, and have to redo everything in #41. Read my post "To #35 or knot....."

Remember that a TAV feels like you're putting on the brakes when the throttle is let off, and applies a high power ratio when starting up. That's a lot of flapping up and down for the chain, and if you don't use a spring loaded chain tensioner with good travel on it, and keep the chain adjusted firmly with only an inch of free play, and lubed up every time you ride, you'll never be happy. And use #41 chain (1/2" instead of the #35's links of 3/8").

Check out Captain Slug's Impaler.

Power is a 196cc clone (Lifan). When it was made the 212cc Predators were probably not so prevalent.
