I figured since we got a car thread I would make a thread for the 2 wheel variety. I want to get a street legal dirtbike once Im 18 hopefully.

hey yer if i was you i would buy a ktm exc300 (if you are a good rider and have had xprence on a dirt bike). this is my beast lol. i also have a husky te 510.

I know someone with a new one of those with ALL the go-fast bits on it. It's absolutely brutal. He uses it for moto-x (I think)

Heres my beauty, 1973 TS185, 83' rm125 gas tank and twist grip, 1978 kawasaki kz400 seat, Shes got no exhaust flange, crank bearings are really rough, no clutch, no kill switch, Cuts out at 3/4 throttle (i think thats a CDI or Coil problem), low compression. Anyways, shes a blast to ride, not much power past 3rd, but still pretty fun. Didnt pay anything for it, so i'll ride her till she blows.

Hey kaptain, If you welded a couple spring loops on that pipe it looks like you could hook some springs to your cylinder to hold yer pipe on. Lots of older dirt bikes just used springs.

I have 2 partially complete Kawasaki F-11 250cc 2 stroke enduros from the early 70s that I would like to restore into one bike sometime, but I will probably just sell em for more than the $50 I paid.

The Pipe has like like 1/4" smaller than the exhaust port opening, i attempted to jam some header wrap in there, but it fell out. It originally had a combo of a few springs, and a flange. I was thinking about just JB welding it on

actualy my truck is runnin great now i cold started it last night fired right up with 3 pumps of the pedal and it ran on 5 cyls for a minuet till it warmed up and the other started to fire over!!! ahaha

**** you win, i kicked it like 80 times yesterday and couldnt get it to run for more than 5 seconds... it was prolly cuz it snowed and i left the airfilter off lol.

My 1982 XL125S runs really good and strong, Starts 1-2nd kick even when dead cold (10*C or so) Also my half together 1982 XR250R. Also a cold start video of my 125.

See the thread from when I got em, the runner now needs a coil wire, but would run otherwise. I replaced the PTO side crank seal in the runner too.

I'm thinking $700 for the lot, I saw one about as nice as my nicer one go for $500, plus all those parts I have.
